Guidelines for IASLC Sponsorship of Educational Events

  1. What IASLC members serve on the organizing committee?Will there be invited speakers from the IASLC? 

  2. What are the conference goals and objectives?  

  3. What is the preliminary agenda of the workshop/conference? Please give an outline! How many participants are planned? 

  4. What will be the form of the Educational Event: a) Workshop b) Conference c) Symposium d) Single Lecture e) Special Promotional Event 

  5. How will the IASLC be recognized on the flyers and at the meeting? Will there be any special promotion of the IASLC as a Society? 

  6. Which speakers will be sponsored by the IASLC funds – how will this be recognized?  Do you need any external funding by IASLC?  

  7. What is the budget and budget sources of the Educational Event? 

  8. What are the other sponsoring organizations? Is there any joint sponsorship? 

  9. Is there industrial sponsoring planned for the event? If yes, please specify. 

  10. What post meeting evaluations and reports are expected? 

  11. Will there be abstracts or educational articles from the event? 

  12. Do you plan to have a Supplement for the Journal of Thoracic Oncology (JTO)? Do you want to have the abstracts published in the Journal of Thoracic Oncology (JTO)? 

  13. Please give a short overview about the interdisciplinary strategy of the educational event!   

  14. Will the educational event be on a single schedule or are you planning to have repetition on a yearly/two yearly/three yearly or irregular basis?  

  15. Does your educational event have a prior history? 

  16. Do you need any help/information from the Educational Committee of IASLC or from other members/Committees of the Society? Please Specify!
