iaslc distinguished awards

The IASLC has 4 distinguished awards, which are presented at the World Conferences on Lung Cancer.

 

  • IASLC Merit Award is given to a member of IASLC, who has made an extraordinary contribution to the organization's development.

  • IASLC Scientific Award is given to an IASLC scientist for lifetime scientific contribution in thoracic malignancy research and who has also contributed to the organization's development.

  • Mary J. Matthews Award is given to an IASLC scientist for lifetime scientific achievements in pathology-translational research of thoracic malignancies.

  • Joseph W. Cullen Award is given to an IASLC scientist for lifetime scientific achievements in prevention research of thoracic malignancies. 

Candidates can be proposed by any IASLC member to the IASLC Award Committee:

  • President Elect

  • Past President

  • Executive Director  

 

The IASLC Award Committee selects the Award winner to be approved by the IASLC Board of Directors.
