Silvia Novello, MD, PhD, is an assistant professor in the thoracic oncology unit at San Luigi Hospital in Orbassano, Italy, part of the University of Turin. Her research interests include thoracic malignancies, gender differences in lung cancer, development of new drugs in thoracic oncology and lung cancer screening. She is the current president of WALCE: Women Against Lung Cancer in Europe.
Dr. Novello earned her medical degree and doctorate at the University of Turin. Her specialities are respiratory diseases and medical oncology.
