ANNE PHILLIPS FIGHTS FOR LUNG CANCER RESEARCH

People frequently tell Anne that she doesn’t look like she has cancer. They think that she has been “cured.” The truth is that there is no cure for stage IV non-small cell lung cancer. Still, she is receiving excellent treatment near her home in Colorado, and her current medication is working well.

Anne is working hard to increase lung cancer awareness and raise money for much needed research. She participated in the Chris Draft Foundation Super Bowl Challenge and won fourth place! She named the IASLC Foundation as the beneficiary of her efforts and has raised 73% of her 10,000 goal. Help Anne reach her goal and donate today!

LAUREN FISHER ANNOUNCES JOHN’S LEGACY FELLOWSHIP TO BE GIVEN IN 2018

IASLC CEO Dr. Fred R. Hirsch (left) accepts the gift from Lauren Fisher (middle) and Troy Miller, Executive Director of ICOR.

At the IASLC 18th World Conference on Lung Cancer in Yokohama, Japan, Dr. Fred Hirsch announced that, after much anticipation, the John Fisher Legacy Fellowship will be awarded in 2018.

The John Fisher Legacy Fellowship was conceived by John Fisher's wife, Lauren Fisher, in honor of her late husband. Lauren is a current IASLC Foundation board member who has worked tirelessly to raise funds to establish the fellowship.

With the help of ICOR (Investment Community of the Rockies), who are business associates of her late husband, Lauren's hard work will pay off in 2018 when the John Fisher Legacy Fellowship is awarded to a researcher focusing on lung cancer early detection and screening. Learn more
