Overview

The Thoracic Oncology Group of Australasia (TOGA) is delighted to be holding its Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) at Grand Hyatt Melbourne, a meeting supported by the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) and the Australian & New Zealand Society of Cardiac & Thoracic Surgeons (ANZSCTS).

The TOGA ASM will be held from Thursday, July 19 to Friday, July 21, 2023, with the theme - Shifting the Dial Forward in Lung Cancer Care: It Takes a Village.

The meeting is face-to-face but also has a virtual component. If you can't make it to Melbourne, you can still join us online!

The TOGA ASM provides:

  • An opportunity to connect and collaborate with some of the most innovative and influential minds in healthcare and clinical research from across the lung cancer community, including respiratory medicine, medical oncology, radiation oncology, surgery, pathology, nursing, allied health, and consumers involved in research.
  • An opportunity for our multidisciplinary membership to come together to learn of advances in quality thoracic cancer care, and to discuss their application in the local healthcare environment, and to develop cross-cutting research capacity.

The two-day meeting program features local and international speakers presenting topical issues in thoracic cancer research, together with updates on TOGA clinical trials and oral and poster abstracts sessions featuring local thoracic cancer research projects.

Dr. Karen Kelly will present on Immunotherapy Past, Present, and Future, and Professor Stephen Swisher from MD Anderson Cancer Center will talk about the current status of immuno oncology as it relates to surgery in early-stage NSCLC.

Please come join us in July to enjoy what we hope will be, an inspirational and highly educational meeting for all.
