Overview
In this program, we will cover:
- the incidence and epidemiology of brain metastases in NSCLC.
- its prognostic implications.
- current management, including surgical, radiation and systemic options.
After viewing this program attendees will be able to:
- delineate the incidence, epidemiology and prognostic implications of brain metastases in advanced NSCLC.
- identify the potential role of craniotomy and surgical resection in the management of CNS metastases.
- differentiate the indications for whole brain vs stereotactic XRT in the management of brain metastases and identify the literature that supports these approaches.
- quantify the risks of brain irradiation, either alone or in combination with systemic treatment.
