Overview
In this session, we will:
- Introduce the concept of proton beam therapy;
- Discuss the potential advantages of proton beam therapy in the setting lung cancer.
- Review current clinical data supporting this therapy.
- Address specific technical challenges of using protons in lung tissue.
- Identify current clinical trials that are testing proton beam therapy in the setting of locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer.

- Will understand the challenges of this emerging technology.
- Be aware of the current data for proton beam in this setting and the current clinical trials that are testing its effectiveness.
