Debra Violette is the Founder and President of Free ME from Lung Cancer a national nonprofit organization based in Maine. Deb is a stage III 15 year lung cancer survivor. It is through her personal journey with lung cancer that she became involved in advocacy. She is also the advocate for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute SPORE and member of the Maine Cancer Consortium. Deb has worked extensively with state and federal legislators, Maine governors and local wellness centers such and the Patrick Dempsey Cancer Center for Hope and Health and the Harold Alfond Cancer Center in order to raise awareness and funding for lung cancer research.
