Lung Cancer a US National Public Health Priority
The United States Senate passed on May 2, 2006 by unanimous consent (S. Res. 408) a call for lung cancer to be treated as a national public health priority and lays out a blueprint for a coordinated attack on lung cancer’s high mortality by several federal agencies. This gives a very clear political message, which hopefully will lead to increased federal resources in the fight against lung cancer.
