Committee Involvement

Committee Self-Nomination - Deadline Closed December 21, 2017

The IASLC seeks a highly competent and active pool of members to serve as volunteers on its organizational committees. IASLC Committees contribute significantly to the effective operation and development of IASLC programs. Typically committee membership represents a broad geographic spectrum and a multidisciplinary perspective. Committee members are recommended by the President with approval of the Board of Directors.

Active and qualified Members of IASLC may nominate themselves for Committees of Interest during the open self-nomination period. To complete the form you must include a Sponsor who is an active IASLC Member (name and email of sponsor is required). You are also required to submit a copy of your C.V. You are encouraged to contact your Regent for sponsorship. Please see list of Committees and Members below.

Committee members are recommended by the President with approval of the Board of Directors. Potential committee members come from numerous sources including via the self-nomination process. 

If you are an active member of IASLC, with interest to serve on a committee, please feel free to complete the form below in order to be considered. Nominations should state the committees preferred by the applicant, the experience and knowledge they could bring to this role and be supported by at least one other member of the IASLC, such as the Regent for their region, an IASLC Board Member or Committee Chair. PLEASE NOTE: The current self-nomination process has completed on December 21, 2017.  After that time, members may submit a Self-Nomination.  However, submissions received outside the nominations window may be deferred to the next round of applications.  Thank you for your interest and service to IASLC. The President and board will select successful applicants to ensure relevance of expertise, as well as to provide appropriate specialty and regional distribution. Additionally, please understand that self-nomination does not guarantee selection to a Committee and it is not possible to appoint every individual who expresses interest. If you do not receive an appointment, your application will remain on file in the event of future vacancies.
