LCFA’s 2017 Day at the Races Event:
Sunday, July 23, 2017 – Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, Del Mar, CA

Join us on our private patio with an all-you-can-eat buffet and open bar. Ticket price includes entry into the private Turf Club, silent auction and raffle drawing. Tour the paddock area. Private betting window and expert instruction on “how to place your bets.” All proceeds will benefit LCFA and lung cancer research.

The meeting is free and open to everyone touched by lung cancer, including patients, survivors and those who care about them.

Twelfth Annual Strides for Life:
Sunday, August 13, 2017 – Southampton, NY

The LCRF will host its Twelfth Annual Strides for Life. The event, which includes a three-mile run/walk and 50-yard dash for children (ages 2-10) around Lake Agawam in Southampton, NY, helps increase awareness for lung cancer and raises funds to benefit innovative lung cancer research. Participants come from the Hamptons community, the tri-state area and beyond, and include professional runners, first-time runners, teams, families, children and many other lung cancer research supporters.

Free to Breathe Yoga Challenge
Sunday, August 20, 2017 – Baltimore, MD

The Free to Breathe Team Yoga Challenge is a truly one-of-a-kind yoga event. Teams up to eight members can participate in a full day of varied-intensity, instructor-led yoga. Other wellness and fitness activities round out an event filled with yoga, community and fun! Funds raised support Free to Breathe’s research and education programs and the goal of doubling lung cancer survival by 2022.

Proceeds from the Chicago Lung Run benefit the Lung Cancer Research Foundation and its mission to improve and save lives by funding groundbreaking lung cancer research.

LUNGevity HOPE Summits are unique national and regional survivorship conferences that educate, empower and create a community of support for lung cancer survivors. At HOPE Summits, LUNGevity serves as a bridge between patients, their families and the medical and support communities.

National Advocacy Summit
September 27-28, 2017 – Washington, DC

At a time when access to healthcare is a priority for every American, our combined voices will help ensure that the fight against lung cancer remains a priority among our national policymakers. You will come together with others impacted by lung cancer to learn how to effectively share your story and educate members of Congress about the disparities that exist for lung cancer. You will receive hands-on training with distinct calls to action to ensure increased research funding and better and affordable healthcare for all.

Save Your Breath 5K
Sunday, November 5, 2017 – Augusta, ME

The 5th annual Save Your Breath 5K is a timed run on the scenic Kennebec Rail Trail. The course is flat and fast. Great for speed. There is a hill going into the trail. Capitol Park will be reserved for those who wish to walk. A fun run will be held for children seven and under. This event is a fundraiser to help support Free ME from Lung Cancer's mission ~ research, early detection and prevention.
