Ramaswamy Govindan, MD moderated the session, and David H. Harpole, Jr., MD provided a brief overview of:
- Advances in invasive staging
- Minimally invasive resections
- Role of sub-lobar resections
- Standard outcomes from early stage lung cancer
Following the overview, several relevant case studies were reviewed and discussed by Drs. Harpole and Govindan. Attendees had ample opportunity to submit questions and comments via internet chat to the faculty.
Fourteen grand rounds webinars in total will be held in 2014 as part of this new educational series, from January-December 2014. Participants who complete a pre-and post-test along with an evaluation will receive 1 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM for each completed webinar.
