About iaslc

The Denver-based International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) is the only global organization dedicated to the study of lung cancer. Founded in 1972, the association's membership includes more than 3,000 lung cancer specialists in 80 countries.

IASLC members work to enhance the understanding of lung cancer among scientists, members of the medical community and the public. IASLC publishes the Journal of Thoracic Oncology, a valuable resource for medical specialists and scientists who focus on the detection, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer.

Our mission:

  • to promote the study of the etiology, epidemiology, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and all other aspects of lung cancer;

  • to disseminate information about lung cancer to the members of the Association, to the medical community at large, and to the public; and

  • to use all available means to eliminate lung cancer as a health threat for the individual patient and throughout the world

The IASLC's Journal is the Journal of Thoracic Oncology.

Become a member of IASLC and receive a complimentary subscription to the Journal of Thoracic Oncology.  JTO emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach and includes original research (clinical trials and translational or basis research), reviews, and opinion pieces.
