Dave Mesko

Dave Mesko

Chief Executive Officer

United States

With over 20 years of experience working in the private sector, higher education, and nonprofit environments, Dave Mesko brings a wealth of experience to the leadership of the IASLC, focusing on finance, operations and governance. Outside of his role as head of the association, Dave loves being with his family whenever possible - whether it is hanging out in the Rocky Mountains or watching his kids' baseball games. He is also an aspiring skier.

Chandra Belani, MD

Chief Science Officer

United States

As Chief Science Officer of the IASLC, Dr. Belani directs the IASLC's scientific strategy, including research projects, publications, educational content for conferences. Dr. Belani also serves as a spokesperson for the IASLC at conferences, with the media and in meetings with industry partners and donors. Dr. Belani is also currently a professor of medicine in the Division of Hematology/Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA.

AnnMarie Priest

Chief Development Officer, and Exec. Director, ILC Foundation

AnnMarie leads all corporate and partner relationships and additionally serves as the Executive Director of the International Lung Cancer Foundation, overseeing all fundraising and program management. Her skillsets include business management, communications, fundraising and organization, allowing her to build on the IASLC's mission to provide educational activities to medical providers and researchers worldwide.

Kristin Richeimer

Chief Experience Officer

Kristin works to increase the IASLC’s membership and strengthen its overall experience with the association. She also has primary responsibility for the organization’s advocacy initiatives and annual slate of meetings. Before finding her way to the IASLC, Kristin spent nine years working at USA Rugby. In addition to her work, Kristin enjoys spending time with her husband and traveling both nationally and internationally.

John Skadow

Chief Financial Officer

Since 2015, John has been responsible for all financial planning and daily financial management for the IASLC. One of his favorite aspects of the job is working with the association’s inspiring members and dedicated staff. John’s previous experience includes working in the natural resources industry and the nonprofit sector; he is also a licensed CPA. When not at work, John can usually be found adventuring outside in the Rocky Mountains.

Tessa Baxter

Tessa Baxter

ILC Foundation Coordinator

Tessa coordinates the ILC Foundation’s programs and events and assists with fundraising campaigns. Her prior work experience includes program, event, and volunteer management roles with the Colorado Education Association and the Society for Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration, Inc. Outside of work, Tessa runs a taxi service for her daughter and she is also a certified REFIT® instructor who currently co-leads two REFIT® classes each week.

Kirsten Black, PhD

Educational Programs Manager

From developing innovative educational programs to ensuring compliance with continuing medical guidelines, Kirsten helps the IASLC remain a leader of medical education. Previously, Kirsten was a faculty member at the University of Colorado School of Public Health & School of Medicine, where she taught community-based, translational research studies. Kirsten enjoys gardening, road biking and skiing. She also taught high school in Zimbabwe.

Becky Bunn

Senior Advisor, Scientific Affairs

As Senior Advisor, Scientific Affairs, Becky supports the development, management, and promotion of strategic partnerships and scientific research projects, such as the Lung Ambition Alliance, that advance the IASLC‘s mission. She is also responsible for the coordination of the IASLC podcast program, “Lung Cancer Considered.” Becky loves to hike, ski, bike, travel, read, and spend time with her family.

Tammy Curry

Administrative Assistant

Tammy Curry is the Administrative Assistant for the IASLC's Chief Experience Officer and the Chief Development Officer/Exec. Director of the ILC Foundation. With a degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and a background in non-profit associations, Tammy provides multiple levels support through planning, organizing, and finding creative efficiencies for the IASLC team.

    Jill Daigneault

    Jill Daigneault, PhD

    Program Manager

    At IASLC, Jill plays an important role in managing the scientific projects of several of the association’s key committees, including the well-established pathology committee and the early detection committee. Prior to joining the association, Jill was a postdoctoral fellow at Anschutz Medical Campus in Colorado. An avid dog-lover, Jill spends free time with her Boston Terrier Mix, Porter.

    Director, Human Resources

    At IASLC, Kathy directs the full spectrum of human resources, including recruitment, employee development, employee relations and benefit programs. Kathy’s previous employment has included positions in human resources, administration and education. On a personal level, Kathy enjoys spending time with family, singing a cappella music and traveling.

    Brianda Duarte

    Scientific Affairs Coordinator

    Brianda Duarte comes to the IASLC from the University of Arizona Cancer Center, where she gained valuable experience in head and neck oncology research, and oncology clinical trials. With a Master’s Degree in Public Health, Brianda now serves as the IASLC’s Scientific Affairs Coordinator. Working in close collaboration with the IASLC’s network of committees, Brianda supports the development of the association’s scientific projects, helping ensure its ongoing position as the world’s premier lung cancer organization.

    Ken Harrell

    Member Records Administrator

    As part of the Member Experience team, Ken is responsible for all things data related. He is the go-to for the association management system (AMS) data analyses and queries. He works closely with all departments to provide data analysis and reporting. He has previous experience with data management in the compensation industry. Ken is an avid sculptor, illustrator and bowler. He enjoys spending his free time with his wife and their rambunctious boxer pup, Zuzu.

    Associate Director, ILC Foundation and Patient Advocacy

    As Patient Advocacy Manager, Kristin is responsible for ensuring that the patient advocate’s voice is a part of all IASLC activities - from educational programs to funding opportunities. Kristin’s previous positions have been focused on providing support to both customers and colleagues. She fully embraces the Colorado lifestyle and loves taking advantage of parks & hiking trails. She also enjoys volunteering for a local dog rescue.

    Stephanie Lenhart

    Accounting Manager

    Stephanie's responsibilities with the IASLC include auditing schedules, preparing fiscal and operating reports and analyzing annual budgeting. Previously, she served as a Senior Finance Technician at the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command at Peterson Air Force Base. Stephanie loves spending time with her three children and being outdoors. Stuttgart, Germany is the favorite place she's traveled.

    Sara focuses on accounts payable and helps to manage the workflow in the finance department while also overseeing shipping needs and logistics for IASLC conferences. Before IASLC, Sara worked in training and development for the insurance industry in Atlanta, GA. Outside of work, Sara enjoys cooking, baking and traveling. Her favorite places to visit are Hilton Head Island and Paris.

And as part of the Member Experience team, Katie will provide incredible support to our members, meeting attendees, partners and other stakeholders.

    Associate Director, Marketing and Communications

    Jan Mazotti joins IASLC as the Associate Director of Communications. With more than 20 years of experience in the field, she is a skilled communicator experienced in building strategic alliances, fundraising, program development and project leadership. Formerly the Director of Communications, Marketing and Public Relations at Project C.U.R.E., Jan is a Colorado native who loves traveling, camping, crafting and is an active “cheer and choir mom.” She lives in Centennial, Colorado with her husband and daughters.

    Abigail is responsible for coordinating communications and sponsorship opportunities between the IASLC and its corporate partners. Before finding her way to the IASLC, Abigail worked for Uber’s Advanced Technologies Group. As a Colorado native, she naturally loves all things outdoors and enjoys the state’s booming craft beer scene. Her favorite place she has traveled is Munich, Germany.

    Executive Assistant and Board Liaison

    Karen supports the IASLC's CEO, acts as staff liaison to the Board of Directors and oversees the association's administrative staff. Before IASLC, Karen served as Chief of Staff to a U.S. Ambassador in Denver and as the Assistant to the Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Colorado. Karen loves her family and relishes her role as a wife/mother. She has also traveled extensively - including to Canada, Costa Rica and Japan.

    Anne Orban

    Marketing Coordinator

    Anne Orban is the IASLC's Marketing Coordinator, with a strong background in social media and content marketing for nonprofit organizations. Anne has worked on international tourism campaigns with Visit Rapid City, where her work on Instagram gained coverage from National Geographic. Anne earned a Bachelors in Journalism from Black Hills State University and a Masters in Marketing from Walden University. She is passionate about using her talents in marketing and communications for a greater good. In her role, Anne will work closely with the marketing and communications team to create engaging content for print and digital media. Outside of work, Anne loves hiking with her two dogs Honey and Nora, cooking, and singing in the car.

    As the IASLC CME and Education Coordinator, Aubrey supports the development and administration of CME programming and credit requests, webinars, and various educational programs. She brings a love for innovation and process improvement to the IASLC. Prior to joining the team, Aubrey served as a CME content specialist at National Jewish Health in Denver. She is also a writer and started her career in journalism and has a Master of Arts degree in English Literature from Middlebury College. Aubrey is a talented musician who enjoys reading, crafting, cooking and traveling with her family.

    Jeanette coordinates various requirements for the IASLC’s annual slate of meetings - such as facilities, registration and accommodations. Prior to IASLC, Jeanette worked for the Valdosta, Lowndes Chamber of Commerce as the Director of Membership and the Communications & Marketing Director. Jeanette enjoys spending time at the beach and loves being a wife and mother to two dogs and two boys.

    Managing Editor, JTO & JTO CRR

    Mary has served as Managing Editor of the Journal of Thoracic Oncology since 2005, working to ensure that the journal remains the premier resource for impactful scientific research into thoracic malignancies. Before heading the JTO, Mary served as Managing Editor of the Journal of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. Based in NYC, Mary enjoys the city’s cultural offerings and is a member of the Empire Triathlon Club.

    Kelsey works to ensure member program activities best serve our members and strives to expand the IASLC's global presence. Before the IASLC, Kelsey served two terms with AmeriCorps, managing a range of projects - from disaster response to organic farming. Kelsey loves taking advantage of everything Colorado has to offer, whether its camping, skiing or enjoying great food. Her favorite place that she has traveled is the Havasupai Indian Reservation.

    Senior Advisor, Scientific Affairs

    Murry Wynes leads the scientific affairs department at the IASLC, helping to support its committees with scientific projects. He also plays a significant role in the development of scientific content for the IASLC’s meetings and the ILCN. Before IASLC, Murry worked at National Jewish Health researching idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and the University of Colorado researching lung cancer. Outside of work, he enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with his family.

    Kexin works to maintain the association’s financial data and manages workflow within the Finance Department. Before IASLC, Kexin worked as the staff accountant for a construction company and a public accounting firm. Kexin enjoys trying new things and extreme sports. A normal weekend for him includes being outdoors with his family and biking around Centennial, CO.
