The Communications Committee develops campaigns to increase IASLC brand recognition and credibility while educating the public about complex lung and thoracic cancer issues. The committee also reviews articles for publication in the Journal of Thoracic Oncology and determines which pieces to promote to the media.

Overview
From press releases to Lung Cancer Considered podcasts, to ILCN articles, Communications Committee members work to enhance the visibility of IASLC on an international stage and to provide IASLC members, the thoracic oncology community at large, and the media with accurate and timely perspectives on hot topics in lung cancer.
Chair of Committee
Anne-Marie Baird
2019 to present
"The overarching aim of the Communications Committee is to increase the visibility of the IASLC — its goals, vision, activities, and publications — through engagement with IASLC members across all disciplines and the wider public around the globe. During my time as Chair, the committee aims to develop guidelines around topics such as social media, as well as an assessment of the impact of telemedicine and the COVID-19 pandemic on cancer care."
