Now that the 12th World Conference on Lung Cancer in Seoul is well over and we have had time to digest the presented data, we are looking forward to many other IASLC activities in the near future.
We are happy to announce many new fellowships for 2008 and all the members should encourage young investigators to apply for these fellowships. That is the future for lung cancer research and for IASLC!
Many of you are in the midst of the summer period and I hope the season gives you renewed strength and health. We are only a few weeks away from the World Conference in Seoul, Korea and a very exciting program has been established by the local organizers and the international committee.
The 12th World Conference on Lung Cancer in Seoul, Korea is coming closer. About 3000 participants have signed up so far. The recent ASCO 2007 meeting showed clearly increasing activity in the lung cancer area (more than 500 abstracts were presented), so a
follow-up in Seoul should encourage all of us to participate.
The year of 2006 is soon coming to an end, and for IASLC it has been a very successful year. The Journal of Thoracic Oncology (JTO) has been launched and has developed successfully over the year. PUBMED approval is expecting to happen in early 2007 and all the published articles will then be retrospectively listed.
