IASLC Global Council

Global Council

Expanding Voices. Strengthening Collaboration. Advancing Impact.

The IASLC Global Council is a new initiative designed to bring the global thoracic cancer community closer together through shared insight, collaboration, and collective action.

Built as part of a thoughtful, phased rollout, the Council reflects IASLC’s commitment to expanding how knowledge is exchanged across borders and ensuring that diverse perspectives help shape the future of thoracic oncology care, education, and research.

A Platform for Global Insight

The Global Council creates space for meaningful dialogue across disciplines, countries, and regions, helping to identify real-world challenges, emerging opportunities, and innovative approaches to care, research, and education.

By connecting experts from around the world, the Council strengthens IASLC’s ability to respond to the evolving needs of the global community and to amplify ideas that can drive progress.

IASLC Global Council

Elevating Voices, Driving Change

At its core, the Global Council is about representation and voice. It empowers contributors from across the IASLC community to share their experiences, highlight country and regional priorities, and contribute to a broader understanding of thoracic cancer care and outcomes worldwide. These perspectives inform initiatives, spark collaboration, and inspire solutions that are both globally informed and locally relevant.

Designed for Collaboration

Through regular engagement and ongoing dialogue, the Council fosters a collaborative environment where insights can be exchanged openly and constructively. This structure supports continuous learning reflective of the realities of a diverse, global field that will lead to solution-oriented initiatives.

Looking Ahead

As the Global Council continues to evolve, IASLC is committed to building a strong, connected network that advances knowledge sharing and elevates voices across the world. This is just the beginning.

Together, we are shaping a more inclusive, informed, and collaborative future for thoracic oncology.
