Membership Committee

The Membership Committee is responsible for reviewing and recommending requirements for all IASLC members. The committee also assesses changes in membership criteria, explores joint promotions with other societies, and evaluates member benefits. The primary focus of the committee is to strategize ways to increase membership and retain current members. Additionally, the committee monitors the general status of membership and makes relevant recommendations to the Board. In case of any disputes regarding membership, the committee is responsible for addressing and resolving them.

Committee projects

IASLC Benefits Videos

The Membership Committee is excited to produce informative videos showcasing the benefits of IASLC membership. The goal is to raise awareness and provide guidance on maximizing available resources. Collaborating with experts and members from various regions will ensure the inclusion of valuable insights and address specific challenges. Furthermore, the video content will be translated into multiple languages to better serve the diverse global community.

IASLC Ambassador Program

The IASLC Ambassador Program, guided by the Membership Committee, aims to bridge representation gaps by appointing IASLC members as ambassadors worldwide to enhance collaboration, research, and education in thoracic oncology. The first year of this initiative will focus on designing the program and outlining its benefits, while the second year will emphasize practical application and global expansion through a structured testing phase.

Non-Member Survey

Collaborate with the internal Membership team to conduct a survey targeting non-members aimed at gaining insights into the specific needs and challenges faced by both non-members and at-risk populations. The goal is to gather valuable information that will help shape the IASLC membership value proposition and refine internal offerings and membership segmentation strategies.
